The folly is part of the surrounding demesne walls of Ghan House, an early eighteenth-century Georgian house. The folly has partially collapsed in recent years, and is comprised of a largely intact southern façade, and partially complete eastern and western façades. The northern façade is no longer extant. The structure also includes an historic sluice and culverted outflow channel into Carlingford Lough. The Folly conservation works to the folly are currently being carried out.
