Lotts Architecture was appointed by the Heritage Office to carry out a study of 90 historic bank branches in Dublin, to gain an understanding of this richly varied stock of buildings and the issues it currently faces. The study involved an inventory to NIAH standard of all pre-1960 bank buildings in the city, an analysis of their history and significance, and an assessment of their reuse with four case-studies illustrating how the buildings can be adapted with respect for their heritage value.
