An Emerging Preferred Design for the proposed Liffey Cycle Route was developed by DCC and supporting consultants for the north and south quays between the East Link Bridge and Heuston Station. The scheme provides for improved cycle lanes and pedestrian paths as well as additional boardwalks and integration of new bus lanes and stops.

Lotts Architecture provided conservation services to review the Emerging Preferred Design and its impact on the archaeological and historic built fabric along the river. Historic tree planting and furniture were also included in these considerations.

The final report included a detailed survey and inventory, an impact assessment, and a detailed set of mitigation measures.
